Offer types allow you to configure optimized customer experiences based on your campaign goals and budgets, and then deploy those offers on company-owned channels. There is currently one offer type you can use for your campaigns and more offer types are coming soon.
Active Offer Types
Single Purchase
- The goal of sending a Single Purchase offer is to increase the amount a customer spends in a single transaction than is typical for them.
- Customers who spend the required amount in a single transaction during the offer period will receive a reward offer.
- You configure the offer difficulty and set the range of spends & rewards that can be sent to your customers.
Single Category Purchase
- The goal of a Single Category Purchase is to increase the amount a customer spends in a specific category or on a specific brand than they normally do in the given offer window.
- Customers who spend the required minimum amount on products in a specific category in a single transaction during the offer period will receive their reward.
- You specify the item to category mappings by uploading a product catalog through Formation's UI.
- You configure the product category you want purchases made in as well as the spend difficulty, and set the range of spend & reward that can be sent to your customers.
Week Streak
- The goal of sending a Week Streak offer is to incentivize your customers to continue making routine purchases with you every week and also potentially reward them for shifting some share of wallet to your brand.
- If a customer makes transactions that meet their weekly spend amount every week during the set offer period, they will receive their reward.
- You configure the offer difficulty and set the range of weekly spend & reward that can be sent to your customers.
Three-Step Offer
- Create multi-step offers with custom combinations of actions and purchase requirements.
- Actions are managed in the Actions Dashboard and include any custom event transmitted through the Actions API (ex: downloading your mobile app, enabling push notifications, updating profile information, and many more).
- Purchase requirements can be both a single-transaction spend value, such as "spend $30" as well as a single transaction category spend value, such as "spend $100 on shoes".
Upcoming Offer Types
New offers are being planned and worked on, including:
Cumulative Purchase
- Cumulative Purchase & Cumulative Category Purchase can be used to increase the amount a customer spends in a specific category/brand or just overall than they normally do in the given offer window.
- Customers may contribute to their spend requirement in multiple transactions during the offer period, or they can complete their offer by making a single transaction of the assigned category that meets the spend requirement.
- You configure the product category you want purchases made in as well as the spend difficulty, and set the range of spend & reward that can be sent to your customers.
Category Spend Multiplier
- Category Spend Multiplier incentivizes customers to increase overall spend or share of wallet in a specific category or brand.
- Customers can earn a defined amount (such as points) per dollar spent on purchases in a specific category between the start and end dates of an offer period. There is also a maximum limit on the total amount of reward currency that can be earned that you set for the offer.
